Afghanistan is set to face South Africa in a three-match ODI series, with all games being held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The series kicks off on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, and will conclude on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

The entire series will be hosted at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah, UAE. The second ODI is scheduled for Friday, September 20, and will be followed by the final ODI on Sunday. This is the first time these two teams will meet in a bilateral ODI series, although they have faced each other before in World Cup tournaments.

Afghanistan will enter the series without key players Ibrahim Zadran and Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
